Gwilym Davies World Barista Champion PDF Print E-mail


Gwilym Davies, the current World Barista Champion, recently visited our Brisbane Roasting Warehouse to share his insight into the world of specialty coffee.


Our guests were delighted to meet Gwilym who is an affable and articulate canal living Yorkshireman who has been extremely passionate about coffee for decades. Gwilym was very keen to share his knowledge with all who attended.


The session he facilitated covered information such as:

  • What is a Barista really?
  • Is there such a thing as an Advanced Barista?
  • How do Barista’s around the world dress, behave and pour their espresso?
  • What is the different techniques and opinions of Barista's from different countries and what can we learn from them?

 

The session sparked passionate discussion among the coffee lovers present.
